Biography

Prophetess Rosemary Aina Aregbe hailed from Akure in Ondo state. She was born into the family of Mr and Mrs Daramola of blessed memories. Young Rosemary Aina lost both her parents at a very tender age. She was a little girl when her mother died. A couple of years after, her father passed on too, leaving her and her younger brother, Ojo, at the mercy of their uncles, Pa Olawale Apata and Pa Ibukun Apata, both of blessed memories.

Both uncles and Rosemary's aunt, Mama Ruth Oluwayemi, (nee Apata) of blessed memory too, respectfully did not hesitate to step into the shoes of being fathers and a mother to their niece and nephew, Aina and Ojo, the two little orphans. Ruth, the nice and kind-hearted woman brought both children up like her own children. With the help of her brothers, Olawale and Ibukun, Ruth didn't let Aina and Ojo lack in anything as little children.

Rosemary Aina started her primary school education at Catholic Primary school, Igbo Oliki, Akure. From there, she crossed to Sacred Heart Primary school, Akure, where she finished her standard six education. Due to her brilliancy and exemplary behaviour, the Catholic Missionary nominated her as one of three girls from Akure Zone to be trained on scholarship as a nurse under the Catholic Convent School of Nursing and Midwifery, Owo.

Rosemary jumped at the opportunity and accepted the offer. God gave her the grace to complete and pass the training in flying colours. After which she got married to her husband, late Chief Michael Olusola Aregbe of blessed memory. Their marriage was blessed with adorable children.

Due to Rosemary's quest to study further, she returned to school for an upper-level certificate in Nursing. After which she left for Lagos to be one of the pioneering members of Nurses to do a course in family planning in Nigeria. As a qualified Nursing Sister, Mrs Rosemary Aina Aregbe worked in a number of hospitals - the Old Hospital, Oke Eda, Akure. She also worked at the New Hospital, Iro, Akure. Then, she worked at the General Hospital, Akure; she was later transferred to the General Hospital at Ido Ekiti and the State hospital at Ado Ekiti from where she eventually retired.

Rosemary was highly industrious. Apart from her career in nursing, she ventured into so many other business areas. To augment her salary in the late sixties- seventies, she pierced baby girls' ears and helped to perform circumcision for boys. She kept a poultry rearing chickens and selling eggs. She also had a Kerosine tank from where she sold Kerosene in drums and gallons to people. In addition, she made and sold unique Adire fabrics. Her entrepreneurial skills paid off and helped her to achieve a lot in life.

Before her retirement, Rosemary had a calling from God to serve. So, she released herself to God and served God diligently. Even though she was already a staunch member of the Cherubim and Seraphim, Church of Zion, she went further to study theology at United Christian International Bible Institute, Cleveland, Tennessee United States of America, where she was awarded honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity (Dr Div) in July 1983. Her missionary work took her to so many other countries as well. Rosemary belonged to several Christian Organisation bodies in Nigeria. She was awarded the Iya Isokan Aladura for her motherly role in uniting different zones.

God was merciful to Rosemary. She owned properties at Akure. and also owned a Church and other properties at Ado Ekiti, where she lived for almost forty years before her death. Although Rosemary was a native Akure, she loved Ado-Ekiti because of the memories she had built there with her children. So, before she passed on, she specifically instructed her children to bury her at her Ado-Ekiti residence where her Church is, situated. God blessed Rosemary with a long life. She passed on peacefully at the age of 87.

By God's Grace, she was survived by seven children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Just like anyone and everyone else, Rosemary did not sail through life without any challenges. She had some challenges in life, but with her trust in God, she fiercely
held her head up high and fought through them all. The ultimate measure of a man or woman is not where he or she stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he or she stands at times of challenge and lives' inconveniences.

May the Almighty God who Rosemary diligently worshipped, believed and trusted grant her eternal rest forever and may the perpetual light of God keep shinning upon her soul. Amen.
